Madeleine Månsson
Madeleine is a dancer and choreographer based at Skånes Dansteater in Malmö, Sweden.
Over the last few years, she’s built up a prolific body of work including dancing in new touring duet Fine Lines by Roser López Espinosa, Dare to Wreck with Peder Nilsson, Uncharted (outdoor, site-specific), and has led workshops for iDance.
For ten years she was a manager for the youth group Aktiva Tjejer (Active Girls). It was through this that in 2012 she came in contact with Skånes Dansteater which over the years has developed into close collaborations. Madeleine and other young women from Aktiva Tjejer were part of Skånes Dansteater’s film project Don’t be afraid it’s only movement and the productions Woza Nami (2014) och C me (2015). In 2017, she danced in Skånes Dansteater’s productions Lunchdans and Hemlagat, and in 2018 she performed in Belonging.
Education: University of the Arts in Stockholm specialising in variations in body function and choreography.
