Meine Damen und Herren
Ladies and gentlemen have turned into a collective. And how a collective works is an important question for everyday work. In many great performances that have been acclaimed by audiences and critics, our professional and full-time collective has shown what it is capable of alone or in cooperation with well-known colleagues. We continue to learn how we can improve or change our work and decision-making processes. Always with the goal of being able to immerse yourself even more easily in the artistic work process. With these increasingly open structures of our cooperation, we are becoming more flexible. We try out a wide variety of combinations of topics and working methods. We evaluate and continue research. We remain open to the question
Generation One
Description: The play "Generation One" is about a journey into space. The story takes place in the future. The earth is no longer a good living space for humans at this point in time.
Extra information: What if we had the chance to start all over again? The theater collective Prinzip Gonzo deals with this question in its interactive theater game Generation One. Here, the audience becomes the crew of a space mission who must build a new civilization on an unknown planet, since the earth they left many years ago no longer offers any habitable habitat. Conflicts are inevitable here, because the new planet has surprises and weird creatures in store. In cooperation with the Theater Academy of the Hamburg University of Music and Theater and the theater ensemble Meine Damen und Herren, a spectacular theater experience is being created at the Junges SchauSpielHaus. Over three and a half hours and through different rooms, the audience can playfully design a new society.
Over the past eight years, the theater collective Prinzip Gonzo has created many theatrical model worlds that have turned the audience into actively involved players. With Generation One, they will develop such an aesthetically sophisticated, innovative experience for young people for the first time, in which they can actively help shape it.
IN SIMPLE LANGUAGE:
The play "Generation One" is about a journey into space. The story takes place in the future. The earth is no longer a good living space for humans at this point in time. That's why everyone has to fly to another planet and start over there. The audience doesn't just watch this play. Everyone plays along and goes on this special journey. The audience experiences many adventures and encounters strange beings. Many different people are involved in “Generation One”. Some of them study theater. Others are actors. The play lasts almost four hours in total. You move through different rooms. There is also something to eat for everyone. The play is being developed by the Prinzip Gonzo group. They have often done plays

World without us
Description: What does dying taste like? Why is everyone afraid of it? Can a soul be composted? How to avoid being reincarnated as an earthworm?
A result of the joint considerations of children, young people and adults with and without so-called disabilities, WELT OHNE UNS invites you to an irritating confrontation with life and death.
Extra information: Beyond esoteric kitsch and religious simplification, serious and light at the same time, the performance dissects the cycle of life. Served with morbid humour, intense body art elements and opulent imagery, an existential philosophical trip unfolds that knows how to rattle the basic questions out of the pale ribs of the unimaginable. The piece deliberately addresses a hushed-up topic. In order to reanimate a lively discourse, the invited guests are asked to appear regardless of their age.
WELT OHNE UNS is the first collaboration between the inclusive ensemble Meine Damen und Herren and the multi-age collective SKART/Masters of the Universe, both of whom deal experimentally with the possibilities and opportunities of democratic/collective work processes (also) in structural power imbalances, and at the same time have remarkable artistic Develop tools and aesthetic signatures.

The Ball (UA)
Description: The hall is prepared, the guests take their seats - only the hosts are still missing. They are stuck in enchanted rooms. The ladies and gentlemen are caught in a party trap. In different spaces, sometimes virtual, sometimes real, they accept their fate or rebel against it.
Extra information: As magicians they have lost all magical powers, as princesses they call for help, as mermaids drift through the sea or as activists fight to save this world. Could, should, should one leave the rooms? Absolutely, but it needs a little outside help...
Only when everyone is free can the ball begin. Time for 50 new beginnings.
Who's ready to dance with us?
DER BALL is both a conclusion and a new beginning: over the past four years and productions, the artists of the inclusive Hamburg ensemble Ladies and Gentlemen have gradually said goodbye to their previous working methods as an ensemble with changing guest directors and have focused on the embark on becoming a collective. Together they experimentally research the possibilities and chances of equal work (also) in structural power imbalances and develop remarkable artistic tools and new aesthetics.

I am the city
Description: I AM THE CITY is the second “radical participative theater utopia” by Ladies and Gentlemen as part of the conceptual project That's not all!
Extra information: While in the first year the actor and director Dennis Seidel was able to realize his artistic ideas with a regular production budget in his play 10 meters in the wild west , this reversal of the previous power relations at MDuH is to be further advanced and established in the second project: THE CITY AM I offers a framework in the form of a mini festival in which other ensemble members can complete and present their so-called "self-directed ideas".
Young people end up in the computer city and are turned into machines there. Zara Larson experiences an eventful night with her friends and the dog Baghira, while Benny and Luisa give birth to a daughter with Down's syndrome who not only survives her heart surgery.
In THE CITY I AM, ladies and gentlemen , in the field of tension between individual and communal space, the radical participation of the ensemble members in all artistic decisions is tested. Own directing ideas are implemented in a self-determined way with colleagues and meet in an impossible city that requires collective compromises: resources have to be shared and the stage set has to be used jointly without giving up one's own artistic vision.
