On 22 April 2021, Małopolska Instytut Kultury host a training webinar for film-makers working in museums, galleries and cultural venues across Poland to learn more about how to make video material accessible.
Led by Caglar Kimyoncu, Artistic Director at filmpro, the workshop will also feature an introduction to the films created by Europe Beyond Access and the importance of disabled people being represented on screen.
The workshop will serve as an introduction and review of techniques for improved access to film. Topics covered will include audio description, subtitles, the integration of sign language, disability representation and tropes to avoid, colour contrast and visual accessibility.
The webinar will be conducted in English with translation into Polish and Polish Sign Language.
The webinar is created in cooperation with the British Council Poland and Europe Beyond Access.
Europe Beyond Access supports this webinar as part of its capacity-building strand that aims to develop training and knowledge amongst culture professionals.
