Date: February 24, 2020 - October 5, 2020
Location: Poland
A key finding from the 2019 Conference Arts & Disability: Crossing the Borders was that Poland has a number of very innovative and experienced disabled artists, but that these artists rarely have opportunities to work or talk with each other, either because they feel they are competing for the same opportunities or because of practical challenges and access barriers.
In response, British Council and the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute are launching Disabled Artists’ Network Meetings. They will select 20 disabled artist participants from around Poland, and host these artists for moderated discussion for one day every three months. The aim is to exchange artistic ideas, professional information and advice, and also to discuss future projects and initiatives.
The schedule for these meetings is:
15 November 2019
24 February 2020
9 June 2020
5 October 2020
Travel costs and access costs for participants are covered. Meetings will be translated simultaneously into Polish, English and Polish sign language.
Apply to take part in these network meetings.
