Europe Beyond Access supports the performances programme at Dansfunk 3.0 festival

Skånes Dansteater, Europe Beyond Access partner based in Malmö (Sweden), presents ‘DansFunk 3.0’, the third and largest edition of its inclusive performing arts festival.

Amongst a packed programme of workshops, roundtable discussions and artist talks, ‘DansFunk 3.0’ will also give the Swedish public the chance to attend the following performances, commissioned as part of Europe Beyond Access.

‘Thank you very much’
On 11 and 12 November at 19:00 CET

Choreographer Claire Cunningham and her ensemble of some of Europe’s leading disabled performers invite you to join them as they pull back the curtain on the glittering and mysterious world of the tribute artist. The performance navigates up, down and all-around society’s ideas of normality and shakes up the myth of how bodies should be.

‘Mixed Doubles’
On 17 and 18 November at 19:00 CET

Skånes Dansteater presents the Swedish premiere of four new duets that include everything from strong physicality, passion and geometry to acceptance, vulnerability and intimacy. Choreography by Roser López Espino-sa (Skånes Dansteater), Diego Tortelli (Oriente Occidente), Faizah Grootens (Holland Dance Festival) and Venetsiana Kalampaliki (Onassis Stegi).

‘Moby Dick’
On 21 November at 16:00 CET

Danskompaniet Spinn, Sweden’s leading dance company for disabled and non-disabled dancers,  present a piece choreographed by Chiara Bersani, which is part dance performance and part installation, inspired by Herman Melville’s classic novel.
