She also intervenes in arts and culture at strategic levels with national agencies and on the ground with organisations\/individuals embedding the belief that diversity adds texture, turning policy into real action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jo is currently senior producer for the three-year&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/weareunlimited.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UK Unlimited Commissions<\/a>&nbsp;programme (working with&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shapearts.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shape<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsadmin.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Artsadmin<\/a>) for disabled artists and companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her most recent video installation,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.takemetobed.org.uk\/\">Take Me To Bed<\/a>, created with Luke Pell and featuring Caroline Bowditch, Robert Softley Gale, Janice Parker and Luke himself, premiered at the Dance Digital Mobilities Festival in Bedford in April 2014 and will be touring the UK in 2014\/15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other work in the last few years, delivered in partnership with Sarah Pickthall, has included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"http:\/\/shortcircuit.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Short Circuit<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; fusing disabled artistry and digital acumen<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.watershed.co.uk\/dshed\/push-me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Push Me<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; film-making for The Space focusing on Unlimited artists within the 2012 Cultural Olympiad<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.syncleadership.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sync<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; examining the interplay between disability and leadership in the cultural sector.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>She has also written a number of articles defining the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/disabilityarts.creativecase.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UK&#8217;s Creative Case<\/a>&nbsp;and articulating the perspective that diversity is at the heart of great art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2013, Jo undertook a personal challenge to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dodifferentdaily.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">do one thing differently every day<\/a>&nbsp;for the whole year, to push the barriers within her own practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jo has won both Cosmopolitan&#8217;s woman of achievement award and her village&#8217;s cup for making jam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jo is partially deaf and has tinnitus.
