Daniel Moraes lives and works between São Paulo and Lisbon. He has a Master’s in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, with a degree in Industrial Design from the Faculty of Campinas (2006). Daniel works with painting, drawing and video performance. His research resides in the relationship of the body with artistic practices and has the hand as the focus of his current studies. In 2019, he participated in the Residence of the Artistic Research Center HANGAR (Lisbon), was part of the collective exhibition “Zona de Coexistencia” at the Festival of Spaces of Artists, FEA – Lisbon. Since January 2020, he has his studio in the collective Duplex AIR and more recently developed as artistic workshops “Drawing and Non-Normative Body” at the ARQUIPÉLAGO Contemporary Arts Center (Azores, PT).
